Cooling Tower Performance – Three Major Threats
Tailored Water Management Programs
We start with an analysis of the water source, evaluate tower condition and facility workings, and recommend a custom designed industrial Water Management Program.
Our programs use the following tools to achieve goals:
1. Cooling Tower Preventative Maintenance: Dependable Service
Our service experts are the foundation of our Water Management Programs. Our technicians are onsite regularly to perform preventative maintenance, test for water quality metrics, adjust for important changes such as feedwater quality, troubleshoot programming and controls, and to advise your team on tower operations. In the event of an operational problem, our team will be there to help you get your operations back on-track.
2. Low Dose Cooling Tower Treatment Chemicals
EAI Water offers a full line of custom formulated chemicals designed for low doses, saving costs while minimizing our ecological footprint. These include dispersants, corrosion and scale inhibitors, pH balancers, detergents, and biocides designed to deliver maximum cycles of concentration at an optimal operating cost. Our formulations hold in sparingly soluble salts well beyond their saturation limits, reducing water use. These chemicals work to kill microbiology, remove buildup and biofilms and remove risk of health-related issues such as Legionella.
We are experts in employing industry-leading dosing equipment such as Dober Smart Release ® to achieve results with minimal cost.
3. Remote Monitoring and Automation for Cooling Tower Water Systems
Downtime is sometimes unavoidable, but never has to be the result of fouling due to cooling system maintenance. Problems resulting from water temperature, pressure, leaks and chemical dosing are not inevitable. A remote monitoring system calibrated by EAI Water will ensure production is never compromised and productivity is always up. We offer training and support so that every alert receives the right response. We also help you select the right system controllers to automate chemical dosing based on the complex balance of system runtime, bleed and make-up rates, real-time sensor readings for water quality and tracer chemicals, and time dosing standards.
4. Onsite Testing & Surveillance
Each program comes with a detailed array of water quality testing to measure scale, corrosion, and biological activity with the right mix of frequency, speed, and accuracy. We’ll design the right mix of corrosion coupons, online sensors, heterotrophic dip slides, handheld meter readings, onsite reagent testing, and advanced third-party lab testing.
We also provide robust services for assessing Legionella risk in cooling towers, and developing action plans to control Legionella growth.
5. Facility Operator Support
Our Programs do not succeed if we don’t proactively empower your team to execute on the days we are not onsite. Our training curriculum will teach your facilities team how to perform routine testing and operator-level maintenance, meet regulatory requirements, and balance competing demands such as achieving energy efficiency and treatment protocols.
